Welcome to Decorating Tamriel.
When Sinsitrae approached us he asked if his RP guild could take part in the recording , we were excited about this prospect so jumped at the chance, so we would also like to take this opportunity to give a shout out to all those that took part.
It’s always interesting to visit the home of an RP guild, more so when they take part in the video.
Seeing them in character and in position, allows you to truly see through their eyes. You are able to see what they were trying to accomplish.
As soon as you walk through the front entrance you notice that the garden is segregated using large blocks, this actually helps to give you a sense of flow, but more importantly, creates distinct areas within the garden. In addition to this, it’s also very clear that Sinistrae has attempted to create a Morrowind feel throughout this property.
Sinistrae has used many large trees to further enclose the garden or yard area, cutting itself off from the outside world.
The waterfall and pool area is quite simply stunning. The handmade dock and balcony overlooking the water is so calm and peaceful. And the addition of coral with some hidden lighting is sure to appeal my tastes 😉
Sinistrae has been very clever with lighting throughout this garden, and unless you are a stranger to this series…you will know I strongly approve!
Little details such as the hidden crystal behind the emblem on the tower, casting out a soft shower of blue light…I really enjoy it.
The guards stationed outside just adds to the effect.
Walking from the side of the house to the rear you have constant strings of lights showing you the way, it’s like walking through a tunnel of nature and light! The back of the house leads up to a patio area.
It’s also worth mentioning that the whole RP guild plays Dunmer characters, I hope they don’t feel too bad about an Argonian strutting around their place.
The inside is tastefully decorated, again with excellent lighting and detail. The decorations again letting you know that this home belongs to an RP guild.
At the risk of fast becoming the kitchen and lighting guy…I have to admit, I really do love the storeroom slash kitchen areas that people are creating here and this one is no exception.
The combination of bright coloured produce, and containers presumably stuffed with delicious goodies..it’s very fun!
This kitchen however did have another nice detail, a fire pit hand placed onto a cabinet to make what looks like a little stove. This is the creativity I really enjoy to see.
Two simple objects combined to make something greater!
Some of these rooms are very creative, this must be the first time we have come across an attempted bathroom, and I think it turned out pretty well!
At the rear of the home, there is also a small path that leads to a patio area. The group gathers here to enjoy fine wine and food and socialise. We always love when people create their own space rather than settling for what is given to them.
Firstly I want to thank Sinistrae and his guildies for being so patient with us , it’s taking us some time to work through our backlog of requests.
That said, these RP house visits are fast becoming my favourite, combine excellent decorating with stories and you are on to a winner.
With the addition of his fellow RP guidlies, this house visit was more of an experience for us, and we loved that!
Thank you for having us!
