So the Jester’s Festival is upon us and with it comes some fun little quests and lots of neat cosmetic rewards.
The Jester’s Festival runs from March 23rd until April 4th., and can be repeated each day.
Essentially it revolves around completing 3 quests for the Jester ‘royalty’ in each faction. I’m not going to give any details about the quests here as I don’t want to spoil anything, but ultimately they are short, silly and fun! So be sure to check them out.
What we are going to discuss here is the new Jester personality, together with some of the rewards you can obtain by playing!
The first reward worth mentioning is the ‘Pie of Misrule’ this is a collectable memento you receive for completing the intro quest. This can be used to activate a double XP bonus until the event ends…don’t forget to use this even if you aren’t taking part in the Jester Festival as it counts through the whole of Tamriel.
With that out of the way, I just have to talk about the new personality available in the crown store for 1000 crowns.
In short, it’s one of the best available. It’s both rediculous and fun. In addition to a modified walk and run. You have a different jump and it also modifies 6 of the current emotes available. /idle2 /idle3 /idle4 /cheer /bow /leanside and /spit.
Take a look at some of the animations below! I think you’ll agree that they are pretty fun!
In addition to the excellent and hysterical movement animations there are also new emotes!
This isn’t an exhaustive list of the new animations and you can see a few more of them in the gallery below.
Anyway, onto the Festival Rewards. Most of the rewards here are cosmetic and intended purely as a bit of fun. There are some consumables that act similar to fireworks, called Dazzlers, recipes, and even some furniture.
The recipes available are as follows;
There are two furniture items. The Jester’s Banner can be obtained as a random quest reward and the legendary Cheery Blossom Branch can be obtained from the Achievement vendor once you have completed all the Jester’s Festival achievements.
Lastly , there are a few usable collectables, these produce a firework effect or give players a cherry blossom crown! This list may not be exhaustive, but it covers the basics.
That’s about it for this post. I hope it gives you some insight into the Jester’s Festival.
It’s a fun, short Holiday Event that allows you to take a break from your normal ESO activities!
Now go out there and be silly!
